Payment Types

Author accepts: Visa, Mastercard, Switch and Solo. Not American Express.

When Do We Take Your Payment?

We only debit your card on dispatch of your order.

Returning Items To Stores

If you purchased products online and you'd like to exchange or return them to one of our stores, you must bring with you a copy of the invoice/receipt we sent to you. This will give our staff the information they need to process your request.

Stock Availability

If we are unable to fulfill your order, we will cancel any unavailable items from your order and do our best to let you know as soon as possible.

You will not be billed for any items that were either unavailable or cancelled.

Delivery Times

We aim to despatch your order within 5 working days. In many cases orders are shipped next working day.

UK: Please allow up to 7 working days from confirmation of order for delivery.

Western Europe: Please allow up to 14 working days from confirmation of order for delivery.

Rest of the world: Please allow up to 20 working days from confirmation of order for delivery.

Student Discounts

We do not offer a student discount on our web site.

Validation Checks

All payment card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery. In addition, in the interests of preventing fraudulent use of credit, debit and charge cards, Author will validate the names, addresses and other information supplied during the order process against commercially available records (e.g Electoral Roll data, Credit Reference Services).
